The bio says: Alexander King, farmer, is among the early pioneers of this township. He was born in Cumberland Co., PA on Oct 14, 1798. His father, Jaems King, was a native of Ireland and there married Nancy Gass. They came to PA and lived there until 1810 when they moved to OH where they lived in Trumbull Co., seven years, and ever after in Licking Co. James was a wheelwright by trade and made it his chief occupation although he owned a farm. Alexander learned the trade and did it for himself a short time before marriage which occurred March 13, 1824. He married Margaret Fulton and in 1829 moved to Logan Co., OH .

This bio also says his wife died July 29, 1833, leaving three children; Nancy G., Sarah L. and Margaret G. With his second wife, Mary Johnston, it says "she has borne him seven children - James, Martha L., Mary E., William, Lovina, Marion A. and Benjamin L. The eldest was killed in Utah where he was employed on the railroad..

Alexander and his wife are members of the United Presbyterian Church.
