On the 1880 census, age 4/12, with parents, Healdsburg, Mendocino Twp., Sonoma Co., Calif.(ED 128, p 14, fam #169/169) On the 1900 census, Coquille, Coos Co., Ore., Charles, 24, is a day laborer. Alberta, 20, declares they have been married 0 years and she has born no children.(ED 12, p 9A, 190/192) By the 1910 census, East Coquille, Coos Co., Ore., Charles, 34, is a retail merchant, general store. Alberta E., 30, declares they have been married 10 years and she has born 1 child, that child alive at this time. Also in the home, is Eugene Nosler, 23, "brother in law" (to head of house, Charles)(ED 55, p 4B, fam #149/153) In her father's obituary, 1914, we see that Mrs. C.T. Skeels lives in Coquille. 1920 census, Colquille , Charles is 43 and a manager of a grocery co. Alberta E., 39, is caring for their two children.(ED 126, p14, fam #279/305) We see in the Coquille Pioneer Cemetry listing under "Skeels" there is one C.M. (1848-1911 and wife Neile J. (1855-1915) Skeels. Could these be his parents?
