Will dated 20 May 1831, proved Jul 1831, Henderson Co., KY.
Eneas McCALLISTER, being weak in body.
Desire that my beloved wife Jane McCALLISTER shall have own and hold in her posession the plantation I now live on with all the negroes horses and stock of every kind together with the farming untensil household and kitchen furniture except so much as I may hereafter bequeath to my children.
Desire that my son John McCALLISTER shall own and hold the plantation he is now in possession of adjoining Alfred HILLs land together with the horses and stock that he now claims.
Bequeath to my son Samuel McCALLISTER the land he is in possession of adjoining to Arthur JORDANs land together with the horses and other stock that he now claims.
Bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Ann McCALLISTER my quarter section of land adjoining Joseph McCALLISTER's plantation Indiana together with all the horses she now claims.
Bequeath to my daughter Lawren McCALLISTER my 200 acres of land on the waters of Canoe Creek adjoining Micajah HANCOCK land and also 60 acres on the head of Green River Island together with the horses she now claims.
Bequeath to my daughter Orrinda my 25 acres of land I purchased from Lucian LANE together with two of my lots in Evansville known by these numbers...146 and also 225.
Bequeath to my two sons William Manoah McCALLISTER and Joseph McCALLISTER my sons the plantation I now live on at the death of their mother and also of the remaining property at her death they be made equivalent to their elder brothers.
I also bequeath to my son Samuel my lot in Evansville known by lot No. 160. I also bequeath to my son John my lot in Evansville known by No. 129. It is also my will and desire that my beloved wife shall have the power to will or convey my property that may be in her possession not otherwise appropriated.
As my daughter Orrinda's property is not now thought equivalent to her other sisters it is my will and desire that my wife shall make her equivalent to them.
It is further my will and desire that if any of my children should die without lawful heirs of their body that their property shall return to their surviving heirs and be equally divided.
I Appoint my son John McCALLISTER executor.
