"Now good night, my loving (family). I must go (pass) away from you. All my hope stands only in Jesus' death and pain. That's my consolation in my need, that He gave me the death by that He delivers me. Oh, my loved wife, don't let it bother you because God puts me from your side in the cold grave. I'll be free now from all the bad, all pain. My Jesus will comfort me. My Savior will comfort you, too. He will be your husband. Hold on to Him while you're still on the earth. Soon He will take you home, too, to be with Him together where everlasting pleasures lives. My loved children, God shall lead you, He Himself, will always be a father because I have to pass away from you. Let Jesus and His Word be your lives' directions. He will never leave you. Therefore, friends, don't cry. Dry all your tears. In the darkness will be light for those who long for God and go His ways until they see Him up there. The last (passing) wishes from Salomon Kèatterheinrich. Born Oct. 10, 1850. Died Apr. 10, 1899."
