The Daniel Stover (c1750-1826) you refer to was not the son of Abraham Stover. He was the son of Mennonite Daniel Stauffer (b. 1707)who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1732. He first lived at Warwick Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and then to what is now Page County, Virginia.

Jacob Stover married Sarah Boone and had at least three children (2 sons and 1 daughter). Only two sons are mentioned in deed and orphan court records in Augusta County; Jacob Stover Jr. and Abraham Stover. Abraham owned land on Cub Run. Both Jacob and Abraham left the county and left no male descendants there.

Daniel Stover (b. 1707) was the oldest son of Daniel Stauffer (b. 1685)of Muckenhauserhof near Ibersheim, Germany. He came to Pennsylvania with his brother Jacob in 1732. His brothers Christian and Johannes Stauffer came to Pennsylvania in 1737. His sister Barbara arrived in 1732 and was married to Martin Kaufman and lived in Page County, Virginia.

Daniel Stauffer (b. 1707) was the ancestor of President Eisenhower (not Jacob Stover who married Sarah Boone).
