Notes

From "Botetourt County Virginia Heritage", by S. Grose, pg. 83:
The first BOOZE ancestor I have listed in Botetourt County is Abram (Abraham) Booze, born 1787, who came from Pennsylvania and settled at Timber Ridge, west of Springwood. David Booze and family on Barbour's Creek and Peter Booze and wife on Catawba Creek, mentioned in the same 1820 Census may have been brothers of Abraham.
Abraham and Margaret Rebecca ("Peggy") Linkenhoger (b. 1787) of Virginia were married May 15, 1814 by Rev. John Helms, Botetourt County. Rebecca was the daughter of Elias Linkenhoger (b. 1733) son of Joseph Leggenhagr, immigrant from Switzerland, and Hannah Streeper (b. 1746), daughter of Margaret and Dennis Streeper. Dennis was the son of Leonart and Ann (Kunders) Stryper of Germantown, Pennsylvania. [Note: additional information, included birthdates of children are listed in this source].
