“Abigail Clements of Dover … Widow & one of the daughters of James Heard” of Kittery, dec’d, for money paid her husband, Job Clements, dec’d, by Samuel Lord of Berwick, quits all right to certain land granted her said father, James Heard, 12 Mar. 1733. Acknowledged by Abigail Clements, 23 Apr. 1734. (York Co., Me., Deeds, 13:164.) The date of the acknowledgment is the last mention of Abigail, who was apparently the only wife of Job3 Clements, although he was forty years old when he married her. She was probably much younger than her husband.
