"'Samuel Bissell, son of John, married Abigail, daughter of William Filley, Aug. 26, 1680; he 20 year old 5 of last Apl., his wife 23 the 21st of last Aug. His daughter, Abigail, was born Aug. the 3, 1681.'—O. C. R."

Matthew Grant appears to have transposed the father with the son; the groom in this case should be John son of Samuel, not Samuel son of John.
