It is believed that David died in Appanoose Co IA after 1874 but before 1880. It was during those years that Mary (Hoon)Peak brought her daughters to Conway Co AR. Mary, who was widowed according to records, married a John M Russell in Conway Co AR in 1880.

Abel Peak was a Rev War Vet from Va who settled here when it was in Anderson Co., then became Morgan (1813) and finally Scott (1849).His wife was Lydia, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Jones. This cemetery is on private property on Mill Creek-Campground Rd about two miles from Hwy 27 at Glenmary.All graves are marked only by field stones.
