Aaron was the son of James and Grissel Mounts Foreman who lived in Frederick County VA at the time he was born. He was a Revolutionary War veteran and had a Revolutionary War pension, the date of his death is reported on the pension records. During the Revolutionary War he served in Maryland, New Jersey and Kentucky including time spent at Boonesborough. Once during that time in Kentucky he was captured by an Indian tribe and held for several months before he managed to escape. Daniel Boone was also captured and held by this same tribe and escaped later after Aaron. Aaron considered himself to be an Indian scout for the units he was with.
Aaron moved to Washington County PA in 1780 when his father James moved there and stayed there until 1805. During those years he was father to three children, Benjamin (ca 1782), Mary (1784), and Nancy Ann (1788). It is not known who his wife was, no marriage record exists. He left Pennsylvania about the same time as Benjamin and Nancy and their spouses, Aaron moving to Ross County OH and lastly Delaware County OH. It is not known where he is buried but was living there when he died. He was probably buried on private land.
