My name is Dan Butt, I live in Goderich, Ontario, Canada and I have been corresponding with Donna Johnson on the Butt family tree, and I also am a descendent of Elam Butt. She sent me an e-mail wanting to know where Joseph Butt was buried.
He is buried in Ball's Cemetery which is 10 minutes north of where I live. I have enclosed a photo which was taken about 8 years ago, which shows the cemetery stone of Joseph. Which reads:
Joseph - Sacred to the memory of Joseph Butt,
died 7th, March 1879. Aged 73 years, 9 mo's.
A native of Dorsetshire England.
Kind father to Us thy affection was given. But unity through Christ prepared thee for heaven. Thy children, if faithful, shall see thee again. ------ hed and made while in the blood of the Lord.
