SAINATO Nancy S. Sainato, age 75, resident of Reynoldsburg since 1962, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born December 28, 1936 and was raised in Rockford, Ohio. Nancy attended The Ohio State University (Class of 1958) where she earned a degree in Education. She taught for a short while then left to become a full time mom. She later returned to the workforce beginning with the Center for New Direction, then to the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus, and lastly to Nationwide Children's Hospital in the radiology department where she retired in 2010. She was a longtime member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, an active member of CAPA where she enjoyed ushering for their many events. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan. And enough cannot be said about her participation with and her love for the Red Hatters. Their friendships meant so much to her. Nancy Sainato is preceded in death by her mother E. Maria Scheetz. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Kathy M. Sainato and partner, Tammy Davis; Theresa A. (Sainato) Behan, her husband, Mark and their two children, Allison and Krista; and Stephen Sainato and his four children, Jessica, Ashley, Gena, and Frankie; and siblings, Dr. David Scheetz and Mrs. Natalie (Scheetz) Davis. A memorial service will be held at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd., Reynoldsburg, on Thursday, January 12 at 11 a.m., there will be visitation with the family before the service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to Children's Hospital, for cancer research (www.NationwideChildrens.org/giving or Nationwide Children's Hospital, Cancer Research, PO Box 16810, Columbus OH 43216).
