 ALBANY - Muriel Race, 79, of Sand Creek Road, Colonie,formerly of Hudson, died Sunday at St. Peter's Hospital,Albany.
 Born in Mt. Kisco, she was the daughter of the lateGeorge and Grace (Raught) Smalley.
 A homemaker, she was a member of Trinity United MethodistChurch in Albany and of the MIllie Hardwick Lodge, Sheperdsof Bethlehem; and was a former member of Mt. Marino Chapter366, Order of the Easten Star, Hudson.
 Surviving are her husband Cornelius S. Race; a son,William H. Race of Loudonville; a brother, William Smalleyof Hudson; four grandchildren; and threegreat-grandchildren.
 Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at thePhilip J. Frederick Funeral Home, 16 Manning Square, Albany.
 Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson.
 Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., at the funeralhome.
 Memorials may be made to the Children's Cancer Unit atAlbany Medical Center Hospital, New Scotland Ave., Albany.
