Died Williams - In this city on Sunday Feb 1, at 4:30am Mrs Ann M Williams wife of the late Levi Williams in the 65 year of her age. Mrs Williams was born in Madison, Wayne Co., New York came to Hancock County in 1837 and has lived in and near Carthage since she was a woman much respected and honored by all who knew she lived a true Christian life being a member of the Methodist church of this place. It was said of her that she was one of the rightous of the earth. The light of her life went out like a peaceful sunset. Although for many years she has been a sufferer, she was submissive to the Masters will, and bore all her sufferings with christian patience. And so she has left us. She left four sons and one daughter PD, John C, Henry W, Alfred A, and Mrs James Woodard. The funeral services were conducted from the residence of Mr. James Woodard Tuesday foornoon, Rev Warner officiating
