What do you think about renaming Meindert Meindert to Meindert Ates? Tetje's baptism also states "Kind van Meindert Ates en Wytske Wybes".

it was usual in Friesland to use the given name of the child together with the given name of the father Ates means child of Ate. The surname was not mentioned each time, but still existing. But many people did noyt have a surname, that became obliged from 1811 about. So only rename if there is sure no surname !
