Comments left by DataAnalyst: If John Finley was born in Dec 1724 and married Mary Caldwell in Apr 1741, as stated, he would have been 16 at that marriage. It seems highly unlikely that he would have married someone else before that, let alone had 5 children before his second marriage. Possibly his birth date has been confused with someone else's. The children in the 2 marriages also overlap. This cleanup requires research by someone with more knowledge of the records.
