Is Brutus Bourie, son of John and Maria, the same Brutus Bourie who is buried in the Fort Wayne Catholic Cemetery (b. 1838, d. 1900)? --Ajcrow 17:17, 5 June 2010 (EDT)

No relation. I was just browsing WeRelate and found this family. I looked up Bourie in the Fort Wayne Catholic Cemetery database on the Genealogy Center's (Allen County Public Library) website and saw that Brutus is buried in the same plot as Desdemona. Thanks for the interest and for the link to the Cemetery information. Are the Church records there online? My info on the family is limited and they were all members of the main Catholic Church there. Still not sure of the relationship of others in the plot. It looks like the Mary E. buried in that plot was Brutus's wife. I looked in the obituary index, which says that her obit was published 22 July 1893, she was the wife of Brutus A., and she lived at 22 W. Dewald. The cathedral records aren't online as far as I know. --Ajcrow 08:05, 6 June 2010 (EDT)
