Family talk:Frans Vellema and Eekje Boersma (1)

[26 May 2011]

moved note from family page

Family sources say that Frans and Eekje Vellema had three children who died young - born between Antje and Jan: Dirk, Johannas, Trientje.

I added these 3 children to this family. They did not really die young (ie, not in childhood...), Trijntje was 52 and unmarried, Johannes was 47, and Dirk was 23 and unmarried. --Jennifer (JBS66) 10:17, 26 May 2011 (EDT)

family sources regarding Jan, Tiede and Frans (two accounts differ):

Jan had two children who died in the Netherlands (I have no names)

(added 1 child Jan b in 1895 - this doesn't mean there was not another child, could have been born after 1902)

either Tiede or Frans (probably Tiede?) had two children who died in the Netherlands

(added 2 children for Tiede, Willemke and Frans. Both died in the Netherlands)

either Tiede or Frans (probably Frans?) had six children - three died in the Netherlands and three emigrated to the US:

This will be more challenging to find because Frans was married in 1903. Public records for births end in 1902.
