Family talk:Edward Mitchell and Alice Bradford (1)

Wrong Alice Bradford [20 November 2009]

It is hard to tell which Alice Bradford to use for this marriage when you don't know the date. You miss so many clues about what is reasonable and what is not. One of the advantages of trying to find the actual marriage record is that you find the date and know the name of the bride at the time of her marriage. Knowing that Edward Mitchell m. Alice Bradford in 1708 might have hinted it wasn't the Person:Alice Bradford (5) who was b. 1661 and therefore would have been getting married for the first time at age 47.

Source:Cutter, William Richard. New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial, p. 2264, shows Person:Alice Bradford (5), d/o William marrying Major James Fitch, and Person:Alice Bradford (21), d/o John, m. Edward Mitchell. I am changing this page to reflect this. --Jrich 10:29, 20 November 2009 (EST)
