The Wife and Children of William Warner

Linzee[2] gives the following children of William Warner and ____ Baker:
1. John, bapt. 9 Sept. 1612 Boxted, Co. Essex; … d. prob. before 1615 at Boxted.
2. Abigail, bapt. 2 June 1614 Boxted, Co. Essex; … m. Thomas Wells of ----- single 23rd July 1630 Colchester, Essex Co. England (St. Botolphs Reg.).
3. John, b. about 1615-6 Boxted, Co. Essex Co.
4. Daniel, b. about 1618 England.

Anderson[1] does not fully concur as follows:
1. He says that the surname of the wife of William Warner is "possibly Baker," but that no evidence beyond that given by Linzee has emerged which would confirm the relationship between the two families.
2. Does not agree that there were two sons named John. He argues that the Boxted parish registers exist for the period in question, and that the baptism of another son named John should appear there (no genealogical consequence).
3. Does not agree that the Abigail Warner-Thomas Wells marriage took place in Colchester, Co. Essex in 1630. The parish register as cited by Linzee does exist; an examination of a microfilm copy of the original register does not find this marriage, nor any other on that date, and no marriage of a couple with these names between 1625 and 1635.
