Marriage[1] 31 Oct 1667 Newton in Bowland, West Riding of Yorkshire, EnglandAt the house of Robert Walbancke, William Birket of Newton and widow Jane Walne (or Wallne) of “Slainemerow”, a daughter of Edward Rudd, were united in marriage. Jane's son Nicolas was named as a witness.

    “In the yeare 1667 on the 8th month & on the 31th day thereof William Birket of Newton tooke to wife Jane Walne widow & daughter of Edward Rudd & she also tooke him to be her husband at the house of Robert Walbancke in Newton & in ye assembly of the church met there that day”

    On folio 48:
    “William Birket of Newton in yorke shire ye 31th day of the 08th month & in the yeare 1667 in an asembley of the people of god called quackers at the house of Robert Walbancke of Newton did solmnly ... take Jane Wallne of Slainemerow in the county aforesaid to be his wife & she the said Jane Wallne did then & their in the like manor take the said william Birkett to be her husband ....”
