  2. Source:Benson, Richard H. Arnold Family of Smithfield, Rhode Island, p. 100, lists a child Hannah, "b. 1727. Presumably died young." It cites Source:Richardson, Erastus. History of Woonsocket, p. 192, does show a daughter Hannah b. 1727, but has no evidence or details. Given the birth of John in Aug 1726, it seems like a tight fit, so without further evidence, Hannah was not added. If she existed, she clearly died by 1731 when another daughter Hannah was born.
  3. Most secondary sources think Hannah is the daughter of Eleazer Whipple, but no evidence of that has been found. She married 15 years after an alleged sister. Even if she was born "probably 5 March 1695" (see Arnold Genealogy, mentioned above), that is pretty late for a couple that married 1669/70. The probate and deeds of Eleazer apparently don't name any daughters, so offer no help.
