    "Uzall (Wardwell) … m. (2) Grace _____ (eldest child m. in 1701 and second child b. 1684 [RIVR 6:Bristol:110; Annis Spear Anc 901)."

Mr. Anderson does not cite the 1990 Saunders article here but does reference it in The Great Migration Directory, p. 359.

    16:69-71.

"… by early 1677 Uzell had married, second, Grace _____, …"

  3.   Some sources (e.g., Source:Guiteras, Wardwell and Allied Families, p. 35) give Grace's maiden name as Giddings but provide no evidence, so the basis for this assertion is unknown. It would appear to be some form of confusion over her daughter Grace, who married Joseph Giddings, becoming Grace Giddings.
  4. The will of widow Grace Wardall clearly distinguishes between daughters and daughters-in-law (step-daughters). As Mary Barker, b. 1677 and m. 1700, is named as a daughter, and the Ipswich birth records do not name the mother, it suggests that the marriage may perhaps have occurred before 1677, sometime after the birth of Alice in 1670!
