Note: Mary (Lemon) Mercer, widow of Edward Mercer, is identified in a deposition in Chester County, Pennsylvania as the sister of James Lemon. According to the deposition, many of this Mary Mercer's Lemon family also came to America from Ireland, some of them accompanying the Chapmans.
