  1. ↑ The Hall and Haviland families are associated with St. George's Episcopal Church in Hempstead but the 1765 marriage register is missing. Additionally, the 1731-69 episcopal records for Jamaica, to the west, are also missing. Their daughter Jane was born 1766 and it is reasonable to assume that the couple is represented in the missing marriage register. It is very unfortunate that his name is not otherwise recorded.
