'WHITE, Thomas2 (c1643-1706) & Mary ____ (c1640-1722/3); m c1670 Braintree [AEBK 1:505]'
AEBK (1:500) summarizes the speculation published in TAG (65[1990] and 68[1993]) that Mary Pratt, a daughter of Macuth Pratt, was married to Thomas White, and concludes that while Macuth clearly had a daughter married to a White (he mentions "daughter White" in his will), the identity of her husband is not clear. There are circumstances under which Macuth's daughter may have been married to Thomas the immigrant or to Thomas his son, but Macuth's known daughter Mary (baptized 1620) could not have been Thomas the son's wife Mary, who was having children in the 1670s and 1680s.
