    Thomas Welles … m. Hartford 23 June 1654 Hannah (Tuttle) Pantry [HaVR 608 ("Mr. Thomas Wells son of Mr. Thomas Wells magistrate of Wethersfield was married to Mrs. Hannah Pantree of Hartford widow"); [CTVR 32], daughter of Richard Tuttle {1635, Boston} and widow of John Pantry [TAG 30:7-10].

    Citing Hartford Vital Records. Jacobus incorrectly has Thomas Welles marrying Hannah Tuttle, daughter of William of New Haven instead Hannah Tuttle, daughter of Richard of Boston. He finally corrected the error in a 1954 article in The American Genealogist.
