History of Peter Parker and Sarah Ruggles of Roxbury, Mass. and Their Ancestors and Descendants, p. 216, identifies Thomas's wife as Abigail Ruggles, d/o John Ruggles and Martha Devotion. He does not explain how this is known, as the marriage is "about 1697", so clearly no marriage record is relied on, and his abstract of John's estate (no will, administration only) does not give a list of the heirs. He cites Source:Whittier, Charles Collyer. Genealogy of the Stimpson Family of Charlestown, Mass., and Allied Lines as his authority for his coverage of Abigail Ruggles, but this source does not identify the surname, parents or birth of Thomas Richardson's wife (nor does the Stevenson Genealogy by the same author found in NEHGR), so this is a somewhat mystifying citation.
