'SERGT. THOMAS PRATT ([son of] Matthew [meaning Macute]) was born before 1628; slain by the Indians between Sudbury and Marlborough, 19 Apr, 1676. He married (1) Mary -----, the mother of his children. He married (2) Lydia -----, who survived him and married at Braintree 26 Sept. 1676, Josiah Chapin of Braintree.'

  3. According to Source:Chamberlain, George Walter. History of Weymouth, Massachusetts, p. 4:501, Lydia was not the mother of any of Thomas' children. Since the last child was born 1665, she must have married Thomas between then and 1676 when he was killed by Indians.
