THOMAS MEANS, who came to South Carolina a few years after the Revolution, was a son of John and Isabella (Harper) Means, of Boston, Mass., and was born February 14, 1767. His father died in Boston April 1, 1789, aged 72, and his mother died in South Carolina October 10, 1793, aged 64.
