1850 census: Annotated, compiled by John P. Alderman (1979) Their monuments give the dates 1768-1851 for Thomas and 1776-1867 for Mary. They came to Pauls Creek in 1817 and then later moved to Pipers Gap. Some of their family intermarried with Isaac Edwards' descendents, but they do not appear to have been related. Th old census suggests a family of 12 children.
