Samuel⁵ Shepard (Samuel,⁴ John,³ John,² Edward¹), … married about 1750, Hannah Bronson [then spelled Brownson], … daughter of Timothy and Dorcas (Hopkins) Bronson. … He and his wife owned the covenant at the First Church, Hartford, 21 Apr. 1751. The will of Timothy Bronson, proved 2 Apr. 1781, named [second] wife Susannah, daughter Hannah Shepard, and others. [Farmington Probate.]"
