Tallman Hathaway Rolfe died approximately April 1873 as documented by the Masons, "Proceedings of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of the State of California" e-book that is free and published on Google ebooks, page 270. Though his grave stone has death 18 Nov 1874 in San Bernardino California at the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery. Tallman H. Rolfe was the first business owner in Yuba City CA during the Gold Rush. Him and his brother Ianthis were very involved with the Mason's within the Yuba City / Nevada City area of California. Together they helped found the Banner Mine in Nevada City, CA. Tallman H. Rolfe was a High Priest with the Masons, and an editor of a democratic newspaper in Nevada City. You'll surely find more references of him with relation to Yuba City, CA and the Masons.
