"Mary2 (Fitch) … m. 8 Oct 1684, as his 1st wife, Samuel2 Burnham (date from Burnham Gen., 121, 125, though incorrectly stating her name as Mary Cadwell), … son of Thomas1 and Ann (Wright?) Burnham of East Hartford (Podunk section) (TAG 67[1992]:45). The regular sequence of children between 1686 and 1700 implies that Mary was still living at the latter date, but Samuel's will in Nov. 1727 shows that his wife was then a different Mary (Manwaring, 2:478)."
