Rome Daily Sentinel, 28 Sep 1940: MISS MIRANDIA BUSEK'S MARRIAGE IS ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. John Busek, R.D. 5, announce the marriage of their daughter, Mirandia, to Royce Staves, 411 W. Thomas ST, son of Mrs. Laura Staves and the late Norman Staves. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Johnson A. Springsted, pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church, Oneida, June 23, 1940. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Vanderwood, Vernon, were attendants. Miss Busek is a graduate of Rome Free Academy, class of 1939. Her husband, who was graduated from the same school in 1935, is employed in the machine shop of Revere Copper & Brass Incorporated.

Utica Observer-Dispatch, 29 Sept 1940: STAVES--BUSEK Rome-- Miss MIrandia Busek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Busek, Rome RD 5, and Royce Staves, 411 W Thomas, son of Mrs. Laura Staves, were married in Oneida June 22, the girl's parents announced Saturday.
