Philip was a farmer in France and America.

Philip applied for a passport on February 20, 1845, (Register 8, #1754). He was 58 years old, a proprietaire (landowner) in Vellescot, France. It was his intention to emigrate to New York.

Elizabeth did not come to America.

Philip is buried in the Besancon Cemetery at St. Louis Catholic Church in New Haven, Indiana. His tombstone is between the chuch and the mound in the 3rd row back on the left.
