'Peter Erb [son of Hans and Verena (Steiner) Erb], b. 15 Jan 1607, Röthenbach. He married Magdalena Kupferschmid on 3 Oct 1632 at Röthenbach. On 3 Feb 1673, Peter's son harbored in his home the täufer Wenger. The authorities decided to deal with him as they did his father. The authorities of Signau reported that Peter Erb would not take the oath, but did not know if Liechti belongs to the täufer sect. Since Erb could not pay the fine he was ordered out of the land. He was later sent to the wood works in Bern.'
