    Nathaniel, m. Mrs. Sarah Chapman, b. of Tolland, Mar. 16, 1737. [1:118]
[Note: it is not clear from the evidence so far collected whether this is 1737/38 or 1736/37. The first is recommended by the age of the mother, said to be born 1720 (Source:Kingsbury, Kenneth J. Kingsbury Hall : The Genealogy of a Family, p. 1084). The second is given by Source:Kingsbury, Kenneth J. Kingsbury Hall : The Genealogy of a Family. Since the published records have been alphabetized, contextual clues are absent. The birth dates of the children seem ambiguous. The first is 25 Jan 1738, and the next is 15 Feb 1739/40. Typically if the first child lived, one would expect a two year gap, and so the first birth might be 1737/38 would imply a 1736/37 marriage, but the first child has not been studied enough to know her outcome. If she died in infancy, or if there was a wet nurse, or if normal patterns did not apply for some other reason, a one year gap would not be unreasonable.]
