>Marriage Bonds and Returns No. 1 from 1759-1800 Fauquier County Virginia Winn & Withers 'Know all men by these persents that we, Minor Winn and James Withers,Jr., are held and firmly bound to ou sovereign Lord King George theThird, is the sum of fifty pounds current money to which payment will andtruly to be made to our said Lord the King, his heirs and successors, webind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly by thesepresents sealed with our seals and dated this 7th day of October 1766.The conditions of above obligation is such that whereas there is amarriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above Minor Winnand Bettie (Elizabeth) Withers, now if there be no cause to obstruct themarriage then the above obligation to be void or else to remain in force.
