    Dr. Maurice Scurry to Wed Isabelle Alfsen on Sunday

    The marriage of Miss Isabelle Alfsen and Dr. Maurice McLaurin Scurry will take place Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the home of Miss Alfsen's sister, Mrs. James Cooper, 418 North State Street, Ann Arbor, Mich.

    Miss Alfsen, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Alfsen of Posen, Mich., is a graduate of Michigan State University. Miss Alfsen visited Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Potts, brother[-in-law] and sister of Dr. Scurry, last summer and was extensively entertained.

    Dr. Scurry is the son of the late Gen. Tom Scurry and the late Emma Gano Scurry of Dallas. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas and his degree in medicine from the medical school of the University of Texas at Galveston. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and Phi Alpha Sigma medical fraternity. For the last four years he has been intern, assistant resident and resident physician on the staff of the University Hospital at Ann Arbor, Mich.

    The reception room and altar will be decorated in white calla lillies, nartive greenery and tapers. Mrs. Raymond Potts will preside at the coffee table.

    The bride will be attended by her sister, Mrs. Cooper She will be dressed in a blue wool suit with matching hat and accessories. Her flowers will be orchids.

    Dr. Scurry will be attended by his brother, William C. Scurry of Dallas.

    Mrs. Raymond Potts, Mrs. Jakes Boles and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Scurry left Dallas Thursday for Ann Arbor to be present at the wedding.

    Dr. and Mrs. Scurry will leave after the ceremony for a short trip and will be at home in Ann Arbor until their return to Dallas in June. Dr. Scurry is a member of a base hospital unit from the staff of the University Hospital at Ann Arbor, but this unit has not yet been called into active service.
