    ...Capt. Joseph Sill was probably the only son of John Sill who came to this country; but had a sister, Elizabeth Sill, b. about 1635, who m. 28 Oct., 1652, Zachariah Hicks of Cambridge, Mass. He m. 5 Dec., 1660, for his first wife Jemima Belcher, b. 5 Apr., 1642, daughter of Andrew Belcher and Elizabeth Danforth, and settled at Cambridge, Mass., where she died between 1671 and 1675. He had by her four sons and two daughters, most of whom died young; none of which sons probably left any descendants.
