  3. No particular indication of a church or minister, so probably occurred in the bride's hometown. Some descriptions place Bethia's father Edmund in Ipswich at the time of the marriage, but the marriage isn't recorded there. He ended up in Topsfield eventually, and it is assumed the marriage occurred there for that reason. Presumably, John Bacon, in making his copy, perused the county records, and recognized the husband as a resident of Boxford, and added this record to those records at that time?
