John Rees and Richard Chinowith post bond of fifty pounds in Consideration of the Marriage intended between John Rees and Jean Wich both of Jefferson County, that there be no lawful cause or just impediment to obstruct said marriage. Signed John Rees, Rchd Chenowith

Richard Chenoweth was b. 1735. "When George Rogers Clark was in Virginia in the spring of 1778 raising a small army to go to Kentucky, Richard Chenoweth decided to go with this expedition. As he was a carpenter, he was commissioned to build the flat-boat which carried the company of twenty families down the Ohio river from Fort Pitt." From Johnson, Bess Sellers.
