  1. It is tempting to say this couple is John Green and Elizabeth Corey ("Core") who married in Cambridge 25 Jan 1711/12, but no evidence has been found to show this. The Cambridge couple had a son Joseph, b. in Cambridge 24 Oct 1712. Nothing further has been found on Joseph. Since the Sudbury couple has a son Joseph b. in Sudbury 5 May 1721, one would expect a death of the first son, if they were the same couple. But none has been found. But neither has any disposition for the 1712 Joseph been found, so we can't say he didn't die.

Source:Jangaard, Peter M. Some Descendants of John Green (1636-1691) and Ruth Mitchelson (1638-1728) of Cambridge, Massachusetts, p. 26, shows the father John Green dying in Sudbury in 1756, thus implying the Cambridge couple and Sudbury couple are the same. However they show the 1712 Joseph as the only child (a note mentions that Rootsweb suggests they had a daughter Elizabeth but she is not included in the list of children, not is any further information given on her). All-in-all, this does not suggest very thorough research, as the man who died 1756 left a will mentioning children Mary Brigham, Elizabeth Goodenow, Sarah Parmenter, and Joseph, i.e., 4 children, not one.

Source:Long, Anne. Green - Greene Genealogy, Vol. 4, p. 13, suggests the 1712 Joseph is the only child of the Cambridge couple. There is no death date given for the father, nor suggestion of a relocation to Sudbury.
