↑ Source:Gagner, Lora L. Ancestors and Descendants of George Willis Wood, p. 65, doesn't identify the Mary Newton who married Joel Lee {#203]. Source:Leonard, Ermina Newton. Newton Genealogy does not list anybody marrying Joel Lee. Searching records suggests she is the daughter of Jedediah Newton and Jemima Fay (probably the widow Jemima (Newton) Fay), Mary b. 1760 in Leicester. But no evidence has been found. Jedediah died in 1776 and his probate file only contains the bond of his wife as administrator. No deeds were found showing his estate being sold, etc. Page 501 and page 536 of the Newton Genealogy show no further information for this Mary other than her birth.
