Witnesses: Sr. Jean DUON; Sr. Pierre DUON; Antoine DUON, all brothers of the groom; Aimé GARRAUD of Irigny, tutor of the bride (St-Nizier of Lyon Register).
    The research was commissioned from Pierre Nicolas by Albert J. Robichaux, Jr. of Harvey, LA in 1976-1977.

    Albert A. Robichaux had the records of the Parish of Saint-Nizier of Lyon, France searched for the period 1674-1691. He found the marriage of the parents of Jean-Baptiste DUON, later notary of Port Royal [but not his birth record].
    "Jean-Louis DUON, merchant of the Parish of Saint-Nizier of Lyon, son of Mathieu DUON and Catherine PEYRIEU, married June 22, 1683 at Saint-Nizier of Lyon to Jeanne CLEMENSON, daughter of Mathieu CLEMENSON d'IRIGNY and Anthoinette SOLAND."
    Witness was groom's brother Anthoine DUON.

    En fait, non ! Il n'y a pas d'erreur ! Il s'agit seulement de bien distinguer le village du département du Rhône de la paroisse de la grande ville de Lyon.
