  2. Source:Van Wagenen, Avis Stearns. Genealogy and Memoirs of Isaac Stearns and His Descendants, p. 49, apparently copying from Bond, p. 459, gives this marriage three children, Isaac, b. 7 Jul 1723; Nathan, Nathan, 12 Jul 1728, d. 25 Jan 1764; and Mary (no information given). The probate divides the estate 2/3 to grandson in law Noah Pratt and 1/3 to grandson Isaac Stearns. This suggests Noah's wife Hannah is the only heir of eldest son Isaac and received his double share, and Isaac is the only heir of 2nd son Nathan and received the remainder, and Mary, if she ever existed, died before 1774 without any heirs. Since Van Wagenen gives no information about her, and nor is any found, no evidence that she did exist is known of. So, specifically, based on the evidence found so far, the identification of Mary as the wife of Jeremiah Hatch, as seen on this Find A Grave memorial, appears to be a combination of two myths, one disproved (Jeremiah's wife was Mary Bates) and one unsupported by any evidence (that Isaac and Rachel had a daughter Mary).
