Family:Hugh McNamara and Julia Abbey (1)

Hugh and Julia lived on the North Hill Road, Hamlet, farm from 1907 to about 1930 when Clayton and Lois bought it from them. Hugh and Julia then bought a farm in the village of Hamlet about a mile away. Hugh died ten years later. I don't remember Hugh at all, and I only saw Julia a few times. Even though we only lived a mile away, our families rarely saw each other. Lois forbade any contact with the McNamara grandparents. There had been a feud years ago. That was probably the result of Lois's distrust and dislike of them and almost everyone else in the township except for her parents families of the Houck's and the Howard's. What I do remember of Julia is that she was gentle, soft spoken and a kind person.
