    Marriage Record: Poage, George and Polly Kyle, dau. (of) Wm. Kyle - Barclay Kyle, surety - Nov. 16, 1802.

    Note: this marriage date is problematic since George's chilren Charlotte [born in 1793], Sallie [born in 1795], William Kyle Poage [born in 1797] and Caroline [born in 1799] were all born BEFORE this marriage date. Other sources have the marriage date as 12 April 1791, which seems more likley based upon Charlotte's birthdate. This date is also listed on the next record in this source for another couple, and and appears to have been mis-transcribed. The date in 1791 is verified in the Virginia State Library Collection in an article "Poage Family Historical Write-up", listed below.
