The children attached to George McKnight Morrow are a circumstantial connection subject to revision. These families appear very near each other in census records and there names appear together in several records. In the 1795 will of John Morrow, he gives his house to his wife first, to be given to his son George. It is assumed that these families are still living on the John Morrow homestead in the northern part of the county.

In "Mecklenburg Signers" and "Our Tennessee Cousins", Worth Ray says that the Morrow families of southern Iredell and Rowan Co. are descendants of John Morrow. He goes on to say that George McKnight Morrow, son of John probably also had a son named George McKnight Morrow, who in turn may also have had a son named George McKnight Morrow. It is probable that George McKnight Morrow, Sr.'s wife was named Elizabeth. An Elizabeth Morrow left a will in Mecklenburg Co. in 1832, naming sons MKT (Worth Ray says this is George McKnight Morrow, Jr.) and John as major beneficiaries, and the remainder of the goods to be divided among the rest of the children.

Elizabeth Morrow’s will dated Jun 6, 1832, Mecklenburg Co Will book G, mentions son McKnight, son John, more, unnamed children. Friend Joen W. Morrow. Witness is William Hill, also the name of the man who witnessed John Morrow’s 1795 will.
